Welcome to readmypast.com (the "Website"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Website and the astrology services offered through it by Acharya Anand ("Acharya Anand", "we", "us", or "our"), an independent Vedic astrologer based in Bengaluru, India. By accessing the Website, using the free "read your past" reading, or booking a paid consultation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.
Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and our Pricing page, all of which form part of your agreement with us.
1. About us and how to contact us
The Website and services are operated by Acharya Anand, a Vedic astrologer with over 21 years of practice, serving clients across more than 100 countries.

2. Scope of services
We offer two distinct services:
- The free "read your past" reading. Using the birth details you provide, the Website generates a chart-based reading that reflects on your past, offered as a way to test the chart against the life you have already lived. This reading is genuinely free and requires no purchase, payment, or obligation of any kind.
- Paid one-to-one consultations. You may book a private, live consultation with Acharya Anand, delivered online via live chat, audio call, or video call. Sessions are offered in 30-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute durations. Current pricing is set out on our Pricing page; the prices applicable at the time of your booking will apply.
The free reading is an automated, chart-based interpretation. The paid consultation is a personal, interactive session with Acharya Anand. Neither service includes any third-party medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
3. Eligibility (18+)
Our services are intended for adults. By using the Website or booking a consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Please do not submit the birth details or personal information of a minor without the verifiable consent of that minor's parent or legal guardian. If you provide another adult's details on their behalf, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.
4. The nature of our services — guidance, not guarantees
Vedic astrology is an interpretive tradition. The readings and consultations we provide are offered for guidance, reflection, and personal insight only. They represent Acharya Anand's interpretation of astrological charts and are not statements of certain fact.
- We do not promise, guarantee, or imply guaranteed predictions, guaranteed results, guaranteed accuracy, or guaranteed outcomes of any kind.
- Astrology readings and consultations are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other expert advice. For decisions in those areas, please consult a suitably qualified professional.
- You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on a reading or consultation. We do not accept responsibility for the choices you make.
5. Your responsibilities and the accuracy of your birth details
The quality of any astrological reading depends heavily on the accuracy of the information you provide. To use our services, you agree to:
- provide complete and accurate birth details — including your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth — as well as accurate contact details;
- understand that an incorrect or approximate birth time, date, or place will affect the chart and therefore the reading, and that we cannot be held responsible for interpretations based on inaccurate information you supply;
- keep any account or booking credentials confidential and not share them with others;
- provide truthful information when making a payment or booking a session.
6. Bookings, pricing, and payments
Prices for paid consultations are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) on our Pricing page. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's applicable terms and policies. We do not store your full card or banking details on our systems.
A consultation is confirmed once payment has been received and a session time has been agreed. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver sessions at the scheduled time. If we ever need to reschedule a session for reasons on our side, we will offer you an alternative time or, where appropriate, a refund.
7. Cancellations, reschedules, and refunds
Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary:
- A session that has already been delivered or completed is non-refundable.
- If a booked session has not yet taken place, you may request a full refund provided the request is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session time.
- Reschedule requests will be accommodated wherever reasonably possible.
- Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days.
8. Acceptable use
When using the Website, you agree not to:
- use the services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- submit false, misleading, or another person's information without authorisation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Website, its servers, or its underlying systems;
- copy, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Website or its content without our prior written permission;
- record, reproduce, or redistribute a private consultation without consent;
- behave abusively, threateningly, or disrespectfully towards Acharya Anand or any staff during a session.
We reserve the right to decline service, suspend access, or end a session where these Terms are breached or where conduct is abusive.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including text, charts, graphics, design, layout, logos, software, and the wording of readings and reports — is owned by or licensed to Acharya Anand and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The personalised reading or consultation we provide to you is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without our prior written consent. The birth details and personal information you submit remain yours; you grant us permission to use them only as needed to provide the services and as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and given the interpretive, guidance-only nature of our services:
- the Website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose;
- we are not liable for any decisions you make, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, any reading, consultation, or content;
- we are not responsible for interruptions, delays, or technical issues caused by your internet connection, the payment gateway, or other third-party services;
- where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to a paid consultation shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for that consultation.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law.
11. Privacy and data protection
We handle your personal data — including the birth details and any life-event details you choose to share — in accordance with our Privacy Policy and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Birth data and life-event details are treated as sensitive. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights, including how to contact our grievance officer at privacy@readmypast.com.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Website or services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We encourage you to first raise any concern with us directly so that we can try to resolve it amicably.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and the updated Terms will take effect once posted. Your continued use of the Website or services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
